Thomas Bentzen design is graphic, playful and straightforward in its expression, and his no-nonsense attitude characterizes both furniture and interior concepts.
From Danish Crafts Catalogue 2006:
"Bentzen graduated from the furniture and interiors line of Danmarks Designskole in 2003. One year before graduation Bentzen and three of his fellow students established the Danish design group REMOVE. The group quickly drew attention to themselves by getting invited to furnish a café at the Danish Design Centre in cooperation with a number of other Danish designers. Today Bentzen works for Danish furniture designer Louise Campbell, in addition to doing his own work. Since 2004 his stool PLUS has been produced by Askman Furniture. It was designed as a prototype at the National Workshop for Arts and Crafts for which he received a scholarship in 2004. Bentzen designs his furniture using a simple, legible graphical touch that slots itself into a typically Scandinavian design tradition. Working under his own name in cooperation with REMOVE he has participated in several furniture fairs in Denmark and abroad, including the Copenhagen International Furniture Fair 2005, and Swedish Style shown both in Milan and Tokyo in 2005. That same year he received the Aluminiumsprisen 2005 - the aluminium award from the trade organization Aluminium Denmark"
