Hans Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior decorator and furniture designer. He was famed for his imaginative light fixtures, which utilize unique angles and materials to create a soft quality of light. For example, in his 1960 fixture, Lampadaire, the lampshade is opaque and ribbed in order to distribute ribbons of light. Born in 1919 in Gotland, Sweden, Jakobsson went on to apprentice as a carpenter before studying architecture in Gothenburg.
