While studying Printmaking at the Ontario College of Art + Design Lauren realised that function had started to become the main drive in her conceptual work, this is what made her pursue a Degree in Furniture Design at Sheridan College. Lauren now strives to create a complementary practice while forming connections between sculpture and functional objects. Lauren designs and fabricates furniture, lighting, jewellery, public seating and occasionally for fun will make music. She starts her days reminding herself “to be is to do to do is to be.” while nurturing her morning coffee until noon.
