She graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan, where she lived, in 1993. That same year, Ferrara joined the team of the architect Marco Piva as a collaborator. During this same period, she gained experience in the fields of temporary architecture of design and interior design. In 1994, the ADI awarded her with the prestigious “Compasso d'Oro” in the “Young Designers” category. She continued her training by working for companies operating in the field of installations, stage shows and museum exhibitions. In 2002, she took her first steps as a free-lancer, opening her own design firm, IDesign, in Milan. She deals with temporary architecture, renovations, design and set design during Milan’s fashion week. She currently collaborates with different companies in the field of lighting design.
