Born in 1972, Alex Fernandez Camps studied combining technical architecture with artistic practices in different disciplines, such as painting, photography and installation. During that time, he began to practice industrial design, finding inspiration in the objects that immediately surround us.

Camps believes that good design requires understanding an object and its function on a human scale. Instead of working one-on-one with an object, Camps seeks to envision a product as it would be used by people in a particular situation, creating a piece that is as simple as possible.
