George is a very practical double bunk sofa bed, easy to open and reliable thanks to the Lampolet mechanism: with the simple removal of the cushions and the backrest (thanks to a handle), the 3-seater sofa transforms into two single beds arranged as a double bunk bed.
Available in two widths, it offers comfortable mattresses with a width of 80 cm and a length of 190 or 200 cm. The mattresses are also available in different models to meet all requirements in terms of comfort.
A double bunk bed is a quick answer for environments with limited space and vacation homes, or even to best furnish a small guest room.
For further space optimization, George can be equipped with a third extendable slatted base or two large metal storage boxes placed under the slatted base. George is certified by CATAS, the Italian Institute for Research and Certification in the wood and furniture sector, which carries out mechanical tests to ensure durability and safety of use.

Mattress
The two beds are equipped with a set of single mattresses of 12 cm height and depth of 190 cm or 200, depending on the selected sofa model. Other mattresses are also available in pocket springs and foam. Click here to access the mattress sample book and choose the one that best suits your needs.

Note

Mechanism or frame: High resistance steel tube with epoxy powder oven painted. Bed level orthopaedic.

Standard mattress: polyurethane foam density of 30 kg / m 3 , covered with fabric 100% CO quilted with resin 100% PL 200 g / m², bottom velvet three body 2.5 mm. Fabric band 100% CO quilted with polyurethane foam.

Slatted base: curved staves in beech wood (steamed)

Upholstery:

Backrest - polyurethane foam density 21 kg / m³ covered with velvet 3 body.

Frame - velvet with polyurethane foam 10 mm

Backrest cushion - padding made of 100% hypoallergenic polyester covered with so-called Ovo leather 100% cotton.

Certificates: the sofa bed meets the size and safety requirements and is therefore compatible with the safety of double bunk beds and 2 UNI EN 747-1 : 2007 in terms of resistance, safety, stability, durability. The certificate was issued by CATAS.

UNI EN 747 on double-decker beds requires that the edges and corners are rounded; The frame must be free of tubes with open ends; It should not be possible to disassemble the structure or parts of it unless using special tools; The bed is provided with anti-fall barriers without openings except for the part that allows access to the mattress. According to the rules of double bunk beds, these are tested for use by adult occupants (weighing less than 100 kg) and are therefore subjected to loads sufficient for daily use by adults and children.

Instructions for use:

1) Before carrying out any type of operation, ensure that there are no people, objects or animals in the immediate vicinity.

2) Children could become trapped between the bed and the wall; to avoid the risk of serious injury, the distance between the safety rails must be 75 mm or not exceed 230 mm.

3) It is not advisable to use the upper bed for children under 6 years of age.

4) The children could strangle themselves with elements such as ropes, cords, cages, belts and straps attached to the upper bed, so when the double bunk bed is open it is always advisable to remove the handle with the opening.

5) Note the mattress measures:

- Sofa 213 cm: upper bed and lower cm. 80 H.190 H.12 / cm extendable bed. 75 H.12 S.190

- Sofa 223 cm: upper bed and lower cm. 80 H.200 H.12 / cm extendable bed. 75 H.12 S.200.

To ensure the use of the bed in the safest conditions, it is forbidden to use mattresses that have not been supplied by the manufacturer. 6) Position and fix all the rails and carefully anchor the ladder to the structure on the upper bed.

7) It is forbidden to use the product in case of breakage or failure of any component.

8) The upper bed has been tested up to 100 kg, it is therefore not recommended for people exceeding 90 kg and must not be used by people weighing more than 100 kg.
