Tanso table (rectangular) from Case
The simplicity of Japanese furniture is the source of inspiration for David Irwin's Tanso furniture collection, which he created for the renowned manufacturer Case. The special feature is that all the furniture in this series can be used both outdoors and indoors, because on the one hand they have an elegant design and on the other they are weather-resistant and robust. This is due to the choice of material, as they are made of teak (grade A).
The rectangular Tanso table shown here is available in two different sizes, the dimensions of which can be found in the further information.
This table is also available in a round version in our extensive online store. The Tanso collection also includes a bench and an armchair, which can be perfectly combined with the table.
The table is made from solid teak.
This product is made by skilled craftsmen and varies from table to table. Wood is a natural product and variations in color and grain are inevitable. Natural wood is affected by sunlight; this can cause the wood color to darken. For this reason, it is recommended (especially in direct sunlight) not to place objects in the same position for long periods of time. This colour matching will become less significant over time as the wood stabilizes. Teak is a durable wood with a high oil and resin content, which means it needs little maintenance to keep its best appearance. Over time, teak will change from a rich golden color to a silver-grey hue. This is the natural ageing of the wood due to sunlight and weathering. It is recommended not to use abrasive cleaners or solvents to clean the furniture. We recommend using only warm water with diluted mild detergent to remove the dirt that has built up over time and using a soft bristle brush. Regular cleaning will help to maintain the original golden appearance of the teak if desired. There are also special teak cleaning products available, but we cannot recommend a specific brand.
