Dante Donegani & Giovanni Lauda
Born in Pinzolo (province of Trento) in 1957.
Dante Donegani gained a degree in architecture
in Florence in 1983. From 1987 to 1991 he worked
in the Olivetti Corporate Identity department.
Since 1991 he has been the director of the
master’s program in design at the
Domus Academy in Milan.

In 1992 he opened the D&L Studio together with Giovanni Lauda. He has designed layouts for art exhibitions, corporate identity projects, and products for a number of companies that include
Memphis, Stildomus, Isuz, Steel and Luceplan,
Le Cose Nostre, Edra, Radice and Viceversa.

Dante Donegani has won important competitions
in architecture, and his work have been displayed
in numerous exhibitions.
In 2001 he was responsible for setting up the
“home” section of the exhibition entitled
“Italy and Japan: Design as Lifestyle”.


Giovanni Lauda was born in Naples in 1956, where he graduated in Architecture. He lives in Milan, where he works in the field of architecture and design. He has worked with Morozzi & Partners from 1989 to 1992. He designed several household objects for Sedie & Company, Uchino, Play Line, Radice, Artas. He designed house and shop furniture (Tramontano Gioielli in Naples, Royal in Seul); mountings of art exhibitions (Rodin and Michelangelo, Il Giardino di San Marco..) and commercial mountings for Nolan, Replastic, Fissler ... Since 1993 he has been in charge of the course "Design Culture" in the Master in Industrial Design of Domus Academy. He lectured in Milan (SDA Bocconi, Politecnico Faculty of Architecture), Tokyo, Bangkok (TIDA Thai Interior Design Association), Istanbul (I.T.U. Faculty of Architecture), Medellin (Universidad Pontificia Bilivariana). He contributed to the exhibition and to the editing of the catalogue "Il design italiano dal 1963 al 1990" held at Palazzo della Triennale of Milan in 1996
